Description
DC Power Supply, Base and Redundant (#6274): Either one or two power supplies are allowed, with the second providing redundant power.
DC Power Specify (#9175): Specifies dc power for the system's central electronics complex (CEC).
DC Power Cables, Drawer to PDP (#6285 and #6286): 4-meter cables used to connect a rack system drawer with dc power to the rack dc power distribution panel (PDP). The power cables (#6285) have drawer (3-pin) to PDP (3-pin) connectors. The power cables (#6286) have drawer (3-pin) to PDP (5-pin) connectors.
NEBS/ETSI: The pSeries 630 model 6C4 (7028-6C4) conforms to the requirements and/or objectives associated with the NEBS Level 3 per GR-63-CORE and GR-1089-CORE and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and is ideally suited for telecommunications, wireless, and other applications that require installation in harsh conditions. For the telecommunications industry, a redundant -48 V dc power option is available.
RIO-2 Enablement Indicator (#9581): This feature number indicates that RIO-2 is enabled on the model 6C4. RIO-2 increases the RIO bus speed to a maximum of 1 GHz, thereby increasing the rate of data transfer between the system and remote RIO.
RIO-2 Cluster Support: The pSeries Cluster 1600 with Parallel System Support Programs (PSSP) V3.4 and V3.5 will enable exploitation of RIO-2 technology with the SP(TM) Switch2 PCI-X Attachment adapter and the p630 server. This support will be available on July 25, 2003, and requires APAR IY42359 for PSSP V3.4 support and APAR IY42358 for PSSP V3.5 support.
