San Mateo, CA January 30, 2007 -- Vyatta today announced that Sermonspice has deployed Vyatta's routing solution at its main multimedia hosting site. Compared to today's expensive, inflexible closed-source devices, Vyatta's solution offers the alternative of dramatically improved price/performance, open flexibility, and security. Sermonspice is an online service business that delivers videos and streaming media to over 50,000 users per month. This traffic load generates tremendous stress on its collocated server infrastructure and caused the company to seek high-performance alternatives to its existing Nortel/Tasman border router. After exploring a Cisco-based solution with a local reseller, Sermonspice chose Vyatta for its superior performance and lower cost.
