Locus Announces the Arrival of its OS2400-485 Serial Radio

Madison, WI July 6, 2004--- Locus' OS2400-485 is a frequency-hopping, spread-spectrum radio that operates in the license-free 2.4 GHz band. Designed to succeed in high-interference environments, the OS2400-485 can be configured to operate in point-to-point, broadcast or point-multipoint modes with addressable, multi-drop RS-485 operation built-in. The OS2400-485's output levels are user-configurable and 32 data channels allow multiple networks to operate efficiently in the same vicinity.

With integrated support for Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, DNP3 and DF1, the OS2400-485 supports your application's RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 data interfaces. A transparent communications mode is also available, as is custom protocol support.

The OS2400-485 features a rugged, industrial DIN rail-mountable enclosure, has been shock and vibration tested, and is able to withstand extreme temperature conditions. Every Locus radio is backed by a manufacturer's 3-year warranty and superior, complimentary human customer support.
