ifm efector's Miniature OJ Sensors Detect Clear Objects in Conveyor Applications
EXTON, PA - March 1, 2004 - ifm efector is expanding its line of miniature OJ sensors to include models with polarized retro-reflective sensing technology that detect clear objects such as glass, transparent film and see-through bottles. ifm efector's sensing technology incorporates acute sensitivity that enables the sensor to accurately detect clear objects.
When paired with ifm efector's 50 x 50 mm reflector, the OJ's sensing range will reach 1.5 meters. The sensor's microprocessor-based pushbutton adjustment simplifies programming and reduces setup time. Sensitivity is automatically calibrated by positioning the sensor in front of a reflector and pressing the pushbutton twice. A target is not required during initial setup to establish sensitivity.
The sensor's miniature housings are ideal for applications with limited mounting space. Two body styles are available, front sensing or side sensing, for application flexibility. The OJ sensor includes a quick disconnect feature that allows the sensor to be removed from its mounting bracket and replaced without realigning the unit or readjusting the bracket.
OJ clear object sensors are PNP, Pico DC quick-disconnect units. List price for both front and side sensing models is $110.00 (U.S.)
