Sensor Module measures resistance of 23 RTD sensor types.

Press Release Summary:

Model RTD1000 measures resistance of RTD sensor types including platinum, copper, nickel, and iron materials with nominal resistances to 1000 ohms. Designed for use with hand-held MFT 4000 Series Multi-Function Tester, it may connect with 2, 3, or 4-wire RTDs via accessory connectors. Menu feature on MFT selects RTD type, nominal resistance, and alpha value. General-purpose connector with alligator clip terminations provides for temporary connections to installed RTDs.

Meriam Instrument Announces New RTD1000 Sensor Module for use with the MFT 4000 - Now You Can Accurately Measure Resistance of 23 RTC Sensor Types

Meriam Instrument announces the release of the RTD1000 Sensor Module, which accurately measures resistance of 23 different RTD sensor types including platinum, copper, nickel and iron materials with nominal resistances to 1000 ohms. The module is designed for use with the hand-held MFT 4000 Series Multi-Function Tester, which converts the measured resistance to a corresponding temperature value and conveniently displays the value in whichever temperature scale the user chooses (°F, °C, °R, or °K), producing precise measurements. The resistance in ohms can also be displayed.

For added versatility, two, three, or four-wire RTDs can be connected to the RTD1000 via accessory connectors. A menu feature on the MFT selects RTD type, nominal resistance and alpha value. A general-purpose connector with alligator clip terminations simplifies temporary connections to installed RTDs. For RTDs used as reference standards, an ID resistor may be installed in the accessory connector to enable the MFT to automatically load the necessary RTD characteristics.

To complement the RTD1000 module, Meriam offers four-wire, DIN Class A, Pt100 and Pt1000 probes with handle, connector and five-foot coiled cable. For an excellent reference standard, users may field calibrate the RTD1000 module with a dedicated RTD probe. The module may also be recalibrated individually using external precision resistors.
