Red Head LDT(TM) Anchors Receive ICBO Evaluation Report ER-5890 Listing
WOOD DALE, IL (June 28, 2002) - ITW Ramset/Red Head has received an ICBO Evaluation Report ER-5890 listing for their Red Head LDT(TM) self-threading anchors. The LDT anchor is a high performance concrete anchor that cuts its own threads into concrete. It is removable, has a finished head as well as low-slip and high-tension characteristics.
LDT anchors are ideal for applications in material handling and plant engineering - such as conveyors, sortation devices, shelving and racking - where installation speed, performance and removability are key.
These anchors are real time and money savers. They have the performance of an adhesive anchor with the ease-of-installation of a mechanical anchor. They install in less than half the time of wedge anchors and require no cure time. They use no special drill bit and install in just two steps: 1) drill a pilot hole; 2) drive anchor into hole with a 1/2" impact wrench.
ICBO Listing
LDT(TM) self-threading anchors' ICBO Evaluation Report ER-5890 listing means that contractors and builders in the western part of the United States may use this product for anchoring design applications where earthquakes are a concern. The key benefits of such a listing are seismic qualification and reduced spacing and edge distance requirements.
