Kee Safety® Introduces New OSHA-compliant Kee® Gate Self-closing Safety Gates for Permanent Hazard Protection

Kee Safety, Inc., Buffalo, New York, announces the introduction of its new OSHA-compliant Kee® Gate self-closing safety gates to provide permanent hazard protection for openings, ladder/stair access points, roof hatches, platforms, mezzanines, and restricted areas in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. Kee Gate is independently tested to EN 12400, Category 4, Moderate Door Use to last 50,000 cycles, approximately five times as long as the industry standard, the company states.

Ideal for new construction or as a retro-fit solution to existing fixed structures where protection at openings with regular access is required, Kee Gate is available in nine standard sizes from 18” to 48” wide. All gates can be modified without cutting or welding up to 3-1/2” to accommodate larger or smaller openings, the company states. The U-bolt connection allows the gate to be connected to flat, square, or tubular posts from 1” to 1-1/2”.

Kee Gate features a corrosion-resistant finish (galvanized to ASTM A53) and is available powder coated in “safety yellow” or a requested RAL color. It is easy to install using common hand tools and can be manually tensioned, according to Kee Safety. It is fully adjustable and will connect seamlessly with other Kee Safety systems including KeeHatch® roof hatch railings, KeeGuard® roof edge railing systems, and Kee Klamp® steel and Kee Lite® aluminum safety railings as well as Easi-Dec® safe access platform systems.

Kee Gate is independently tested to comply with OSHA safety standards and is also compliant with appropriate ANSI and IBC standards. New Kee Gate models are available for purchase online at introductory discounted prices ranging from $189.42 to $356.25.
