Elma's New Line OF Seismic Cabinet Enclosures is Heavy-Duty


FREMONT, California, May 04, 2004 - Elma Electronic Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic packaging products and rotary components, has announced a new line of Seismic Cabinet Enclosures. The heavy-duty Type 45S cabinets have a high strength-to-weight ratio to support and protect equipment during the full force of a seismic event.

The Type 45S cabinets feature cross bracing, back stiffeners, and double-walled extrusions, able to handle heavy weight and the stringent requirements of Zone 4 shock and vibration standards. The corner sockets and members are welded for reinforcement, meeting ANSI 329 and Bellcore TR-63 specifications. The design incorporates a rugged double cavity aluminum extrusion with internal solid "L" shaped corner keys to provide increased strength and rigidity. The base is also welded for extra durability, featuring thick 7gauge steel. The rails come in 11gauge thickness or 10gauge for extra heavy-duty applications. The Seismic cabinet line is available in two unique bezel styles of vertical cabinets for 19" and 24" systems. It is a system that lets you combine EMI/RFI shielded and independent, removable side, top and bottom panels and doors for labor saving system installation and service. A variety of rail types and hole patterns are available to meet a wide range of requirements. Optional features of the cabinets include dust and moisture protection, cooling systems, cable management systems, hard-mounting, electrical plug strips, and more.

The stylish look of the cabinets are protected with paint adhesion and corrosion resistance via phosphate pre-treating and durable acrylic coating. Elma offers a selection of contemporary colors and custom color matching is available. Textured finishes are standard.
