Seifert Graphics Acquires Second EFI VUTEk® Superwide Format Printer

Oriskany, New York, Based Firm Leveraging Speed, Quality, Flexibility for Business Growth

FOSTER CITY, Calif. - December 5, 2007 - EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today reported that family-owned Seifert Graphics, located in Oriskany, New York, acquired its second VUTEk superwide format printer in less than a year to expand its digital display graphics business.

"Today's market is all about speed," said Jack Seifert, owner. "I originally needed a solution that could deliver high quality display graphics at a high speed. The QS2000 meets those requirements, and with its white ink option and fast changeover from flexible to rigid substrates, it opens the door to many new applications. It has certainly lived up to its promise. Now with the addition of EFI's VUTEk 3360 with the Fusion option, I will be able to expand my market presence even further, especially with the dye sublimation capability for the production of fabric banners."

The QS2000 is an exceptionally high quality, high-speed superwide format printer that produces images up to 2 meters wide with High Definition Print (HDP) at 1080 dpi, and achieves speeds of up to 750 square feet per hour in up to six colors. A special seventh channel is available for printing with white ink. Changeover from flexible to rigid substrates can be accomplished in less than a minute, allowing printing directly on rigid substrates up to two inches (5.08 cm) thick.

An industry first, the VUTEk 3360's Fusion option has a unique ink delivery system that enables a clean changeover between traditional solvent and dye sublimation inks in two minutes without the need to flush the entire system, giving owners the ability to efficiently produce both types of applications from a single printer footprint. EFI's UltraTex(TM) dye sublimation ink, used with the 3360 Fusion option is a versatile ink solution that is wash-resistant and dryer-resilient for reusable indoor/outdoor graphics. UltraTex ink infuses into fabrics to produce vibrant colors with excellent draping qualities. It also offers the widest possible color gamut and operational stability for production efficiency.

"Seifert Graphics has taken its business to a new level with the VUTEk QS2000, and will be able to expand its horizons even more with the addition of the VUTEk 3360 Fusion option" said Chuck Dourlet, vice president marketing, EFI VUTEk. "The company produced all of the display graphics for the Stickley's Furniture Museum and is well-equipped to take on additional museum work. By adding the 3360 with the Fusion option, Seifert Graphics will have exceptional flexibility and capability, positioning itself for both product and geographic expansion."

"With the QS2000 and the 3360 with the Fusion option" adds Seifert, "I will be able to go toe to toe with competitors in major metropolitan areas and better serve my local market. I am particularly excited about the ability to expand into the production of high quality fabric banners, a high demand item that will increase my competitive advantage. These products have put us in a whole new world."
