Breach Security Helps Organizations Accelerate PCI Compliance with New PCI QuickStart Packages

Three Packages Available for Varying Business Needs; Bundles Include Award-Winning WebDefend Web Application Security Appliance

CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 27 -- Breach Security, Inc., the leader in web application integrity and security, today announced the availability of three PCI QuickStart packages to help organizations protect against payment card information leakage and become immediately compliant with Requirement 6.6 of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS).

Available for a limited time, each PCI QuickStart bundle includes the award-winning, ICSA Labs-certified WebDefend(TM) web application security appliance, technical support and product and PCI training. WebDefend provides organizations with real-time, continuous application protection for vulnerabilities, even as new code is deployed. PCI DSS Requirement 6.6 requires companies to defend against application-layer attacks by deploying a web application firewall or remediating vulnerabilities identified through application code reviews.

In addition, each package includes PCI DSS training from The Aegenis Group, the leader in providing training, risk management and strategic consulting for the Payment Card Industry.

"Too often, security can take a backseat to compliance. That's why The Aegenis Group recommends that organizations deploy a web application firewall to meet PCI Requirement 6.6 and benefit from actual protection of vulnerabilities identified by code reviews or vulnerability scans," said Chris Mark, CEO of The Aegenis Group. "Our experience has determined that the dynamic nature of web applications makes web application firewalls the most appropriate and cost-effective means for securing payment card information."

Organizations that select WebDefend benefit from significant cost savings achieved through decreased frequency of code reviews and vulnerability scans. WebDefend also eliminates the need for database security and other costly PCI solutions. While application-layer scans and code reviews examine specific portions of code, WebDefend provides security for the entire application and assures the integrity of the application by identifying application defects such as improper error messages, leakage of system and user information, missing or broken links and other coding flaws.

Breach Security is offering three new packages: PCI QuickStart - Core, PCI QuickStart - Pro and PCI QuickStart - Enterprise. Along with the WebDefend web application security appliance and PCI training from The Aegenis Group, the PCI QuickStart packages include:

-- A high performance, high availability cluster and bonus appliances for test environments (selected packages only).
-- Email and phone support from highly skilled Breach Security professionals.
-- WebDefend JumpStart product training.
-- All product maintenance updates.

"Breach Security's new PCI QuickStart bundles provide time-strapped network security professionals with an easy way to maintain the integrity of their web-facing applications while achieving PCI compliance," said Sanjay Mehta, senior vice president for Breach Security. "These complete packages include everything organizations need to successfully deploy a web application firewall to protect their customers' payment card information."

The PCI QuickStart packages are available from Breach and its partners. For more information or to order a PCI QuickStart package, visit www.breach.com/, email info@breach.com or call 866 205 7032.
