Optimized for easy integration, the 8155HXL security acceleration board enables customers to quickly incorporate multi-gigabit speed, strong cryptography and lossless compression into their products.
Enterprises need security solutions that protect their information wherever it may reside in the network. The 8155HXL delivers multi-gigabit performance and the strongest non-military encryption, along with Hifn's lossless LZS data compression, to protect information at-rest or in-transit. To off load the design burden from customers, Hifn has raised the level of integration, and ease of use, by investing in complete system integration with Linux and FreeBSD, using the Open Cryptography Framework (OCF).

The 8155HXL powers network security with multi-gigabit performance for IPsec or SSL packet processing or raw cryptographic transforms for other applications such as data storage. In a high-performance 2 Gbps PCI-X bus based system the 8155HXL processes over 1 million packets per second.
Dynamic load balancing hardware in the 8155HXL allows it to simultaneously process multiple protocols. Full performance is assured to any number of sessions from 1 to 1 million.
