Seals require low closure force.

Press Release Summary:

FF354-65 white perfluorinated elastomer (FFKM) seals offer low durometer of 65. Soft properties allow for installation of o-rings and other seals into groove shapes such as dovetails and radius corner designs. FF354-65 seals resist compression set and offer temperature resistance up to 600 deg F. Chemical-resistant material is suitable for use in semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical processing, medical device manufacturing, and maintenance repair applications.

Original Press Release:

New High Purity Seals with Low Closure Force Properties

Irvine, CA - Parker Hannifin's Seal Group has added a new low closure force seal material to its family of Parofluor ULTRA(TM) materials for high purity, high temperature sealing applications. The new material, FF354-65, is a white, ultra-high purity perfluorinated elastomer (FFKM) with a low 65 durometer. Its softer properties allow for easier installation of O-rings and other seal types into less-common groove shapes, such as dovetails and radius corner designs. FF354-65 seals can be compressed with lower closure forces than other perfluorinated elastomers for improved reliability and sealing performance at lower pressures. Seals made with FF354-65 are highly resilient, with excellent compression set resistance properties that can significantly extend service life in harsh environments.

Parofluor ULTRA FF354-65 material is the only white perfluorinated elastomer with low closure force sealing capabilities and temperature resistance up to 600°F (316°C). The material is formulated to resist a wide variety of chemicals, and its low particle generation features make it ideal for use in semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical processing, medical device manufacturing and maintenance repair applications.

Parofluor ULTRA FF354-65 material can be formed into O-rings, molded shapes and other sealing configurations. All Parker Parofluor ULTRA series products are manufactured in an ultra-high purity environment to guard against contamination. Packaging processes are performed in a clean room environment.
