Scribe Software Launches Integration Solution for Salesforce and Great Plains on salesforce.com's AppExchange

Salesforce.com Customers Can Now Integrate On-premise ERP With On-demand CRM

SAN FRANCISCO, salesforce.com Appforce Conference, May 24 -- Scribe Software, a provider of data migration and integration software technology for leading customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, announced the availability of Scribe's Integration solution for Salesforce and Great Plains for salesforce.com's AppExchange. Scribe's AppExchange Mobile-ready solution for Salesforce and Great Plains will be part of a live keynote demonstration of new AppExchange partner applications hosted by Tony Perkins, founder and editor of Always On. The announcement was made today at Appforce, salesforce.com's first annual AppExchange partner, user and developer conference.

AppExchange, salesforce.com's on-demand platform, allows customers and partners to build powerful new applications quickly and easily, customize and integrate the Salesforce suite to meet their unique business needs, and distribute and sell on-demand apps at appexchange.com. By making the Scribe solution for Salesforce and Great Plains available on the AppExchange, salesforce.com customers can now benefit from integrating on-premise ERP directly with their Salesforce implementation.

This real-time integration solution provides a rich level of integration between Salesforce and Great Plains. The solution synchronizes customer, address, and product catalog records and enables users to convert opportunities to orders in Salesforce. Those orders are then immediately and automatically processed in Great Plains. Once the order is placed, the solution ensures complete customer visibility in Salesforce by providing real time updates of orders and invoices from Great Plains. Because the solution is built on the Scribe Insight platform, customers can quickly tailor the solution to their specific business requirements via the configuration workbench, all without writing a single line of code.

"The release of this solution is in direct response to the significant demand we are experiencing in the marketplace," explains Peter Chase, Scribe's Executive Vice President. "As more and more companies are implementing on-demand solutions, particularly for their CRM needs, they are finding that integrating these applications with their on-premise ERP systems is essential. Scribe Insight is fast becoming unique in its ability to bridge the on-demand to on-premise gap."

"Scribe provides great solutions for integrating on-premise ERP data with Salesforce," said Alex Klyce, senior vice president and general manager, AppExchange Mobile, salesforce.com. "By delivering those solutions on the AppExchange and extending them to mobile devices via AppExchange Mobile, Scribe is creating additional value for their customers, who are eager for mobile solutions that work."

The Scribe solution for Salesforce and Great Plains for AppExchange, is one of more than 250 applications created by salesforce.com, its customers, and partners that are now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world's first on-demand application platform. AppExchange provides unprecedented ease of customization and integration for Salesforce deployments, as well as enabling a whole new generation of on-demand applications that go beyond CRM. AppExchange enables all of these on-demand applications to be easily shared, exchanged and installed with one click into any salesforce.com account.
