Original Press Release:

Actual Multiple Monitors Introduces Intelligent Snap and Tile Feature

Actual Tools announces a new Desktop Divider option in its Actual Multiple Monitors tool. The feature allows easy tiling and snapping of windows across the screen on both single and multiple monitor systems.

Increasing screen resolutions and monitor sizes have produced both additional convenience and new hitches. Indeed, the more windows are open simultaneously, the harder it is to arrange them in a practical manner: by default, they open in an undefined place, overlap each other, and cover windows that are already open, etc.

Actual Multiple Monitors tool offers a new convenient way to organize windows on the screen: Desktop Divider. Doing exactly what the name says, it subdivides the entire desktop, or each monitor in a multi-monitor system, to adjacent non-intersecting areas, or tiles. With this option turned on, as you begin dragging a window, you see an indication of the current grid layout. Drag the window within the borders of a given tile, and the window will span the tile´s area. Snapping windows next to each other or aligning them in a certain order is easier than ever before.

Conveniently, the program allows the creation of multiple grid layouts and switching between them with a quick keyboard shortcut. It is also possible to use special title bar buttons or the mouse wheel to navigate through available layouts. Technically, Desktop Divider is very similar to Windows 8 Modern UI, except that you can use it on any OS with any application.

The Desktop Divider option presented in Actual Multiple Monitors makes rearranging, resizing and snapping windows much more ergonomic, both on large desktops and on multi-monitor PCs.
