Genie Offers New Battery Chargers for Slab Scissors
REDMOND, WASH. - Battery life being the key to productivity, Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) has introduced a new battery charger for its Genie® branded slab scissor models: the GS(TM)-30, GS(TM)-32 and the GS(TM)-46 Series. The new slab scissors deliver better performance coupled with a maximized battery life. The new battery charger is available in all markets, meeting ANSI, CSA and CE standards.
"Through extensive field research and customer feedback, we decided to move forward and improve the performance and durability of the slab scissor charger," said Jeff Weido, Terex AWP Product Manager, Scissors. "The new battery charger offers overall improved battery performance for the slab scissors line, resulting in an even better product."
Four primary improvements were made to the new battery charger. The charger plug was relocated from the side to the rear of the scissor (except on scissors for the Australian market) to improve the overall durability and make it less susceptible to damage. An optimized battery life, specifically designed for the Genie® slab scissors models, was created by working closely with the supplier. An A/C power indicator was added to ensure the operator that the charger is plugged in to an A/C power source. The charger also offers better diagnostic capabilities.
For previously purchased slab scissors, the new charger is available to order through the Genie service parts department. The rear charger cord kit will be available in early 2010 and will be sold separately. The new charger will be introduced in early 2010 for the following products:
GR(TM), GRC-12(TM), QuickStock(TM) Lift, TZ(TM)-34 and the TZ(TM)-50.
