SCHURTER Releases MSM Metal Line Switches with IP67 and IK07 Seal Protection and Impact Resistance

Metal Line Switch with Enhanced Luminous Ring
Santa Rosa, California, August 27, 2018 – SCHURTER has fine-tuned its MSM Metal Line switch series with enhanced ring lighting for single colors red, green, yellow and blue, in addition to the recently introduced multi-color RGB versions. The optimized MSM momentary switch family still has the same diameter option of 16, 19, 22 and 30 mm. The high-quality housing, made of either robust stainless steel or aluminum also remains unchanged.
A new material that diffuses the LED light much more widely eliminates the dotted appearance from one LED to the next, providing a more homogeneous and consistent illumination. Additionally, the ratio of housing diameter to the width of the illumination ring has been redesigned, resulting in a more scaled appearance. The actuation provides an excellent tactile feedback. Actuation force is 4.5 N.
The SCHURTER MSM family is well known for its robust design with a high degree of seal protection and impact resistance of IP67 and IK07. The switches are particularly suitable for use in harsh environments or in applications that require protection against vandalism. Switching current is max. 10 A / 100 mA at 250 VAC / 30 VDC. LED supply voltage is 24 VDC. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to +85 °C.
