SCHURTER Redesigns FMBB NEO EMI Filter

Santa Rosa, California, January 15, 2019 – SCHURTER is pleased to present its compact, high-grade single-phase EMI-Filter, series FMBB NEO, redesigned with a shiny new housing made of nickel plated steel and completely enclosed to optimize contact with the equipment chassis. Additionally, the temperature range is extended to -40 up to 100°C to meet MIL-STD.

The new filter family is available in three different designs: C, D and F. The designs are characterized by a high symmetrical and asymmetrical attenuation suitable for a variety of applications. For instance, Design C attenuates potentially strong conducted interferences, while Design D is designed to attenuate high frequency interferences. Design F is tailored for low frequency noise attenuation. All designs offer high insertion loss performance. The filter family is rated 1-36 A at 250 VAC, according to IEC, and 1-30 A @ 125/250 VAC according to UL/CSA. Terminal variations include quick connect, bolts and nuts - style M4. Optional flexible wire leads are available on request.

The compact FMBB NEO is ideal for use in industrial applications such as frequency converters, stepper motors, UPS-systems, inverters, and current converters. Medical versions with leakage currents of < 80µA (M80) respectively < 5µA (M5) are available. The series is ENEC and cURus approved, and is qualified for use in equipment according to IEC/UL standard 60950 and 60601-1

The prices for all variants including the new features remain unchanged. The datasheet link can be found at http://www.schurter.com/en/datasheet/FMBB_NEO.
