SCHURTER Introduces AC Outlets with Light Pipe for Intelligent Power Capabilities in PDUs at Data Center World 2015
Santa Rosa, California – Data Center World 2015, will take place April 21-22 at the Mirage Resort in Las Vegas. SCHURTER, a trusted component supplier to the datacom industry will be showcasing its innovative range of electrical mechanical components, which includes AC and DC rated components: power inlets and outlets, with mating V-Lock cord sets, as well as EMC filters, fuses and fuseholders, circuit breakers, and switches. Datacom manufacturers have come to rely on SCHURTER's products, to optimize the design of their power distribution and data equipment.
SCHURTER's broad portfolio of power inlets and outlets will feature the new 4710 and 6610 series appliance outlets. Both product families utilize IDC technology, allowing wires to be bussed across the terminals, thereby connecting common terminals all at once. Additionally, SCHURTER will display their most popular outlet series with an optional integrated light pipe. Designed to channel light from LEDs on the pc board to the front of the connector, the light pipe provides operational or other functional status indication in power distribution units (PDUs). The flexible design options allow for efficient customer-specific solutions, while enabling increased opportunity to display status information from the power grid to the user.
The outlet series include IEC 60320-1, style F, rated UL/CSA 15 A @ 250 VAC and IEC rated 10 A @ 250 VAC and, style J, rated UL/CSA 20A @ 250 VAC and IEC 16A @ 250 VAC.  SCHURTER's innovative appliance outlets provide simple, user-friendly solutions utilizing intelligent power capabilities within power distribution today.
