SCHUNK Toolholders as a Part of a Real Help Campaign

"You can be sure I will be looking for more SINO toolholders in the near future," stated Charles Blair, the owner of Doraville Custom Machine Services, Inc. (DCMS). He is the winner of the Okuma's Real Help Machine Giveaway contest, which took place from October to December, 2009. Manufacturers had been invited to submit a video telling their story and how an Okuma machine could help their business during these challenging times. The prize was an Okuma machine tool, free for two years.

As a sponsor of the Real Help Machine Giveaway contest, SCHUNK provided the winner with any of the high performing SCHUNK Tooling & Workholding products.

Charles Blair (DCMS) wanted to achieve more dampening by changing out his old toolholders for a SINO-R toolholder from SCHUNK. The toolholder is especially well suited for rough milling. The interaction of high radial rigidity and great dampening characteristics are special features that increase the smooth running of the tool, resulting in a high tool life and increased material removal rates. "I must say I am seriously impressed with how well these tools work," said Charles after testing SINO-R.
