Vishay Intertechnology Releases New 45 V TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky Rectifiers in Low-Profile SlimSMA(TM) Package

High Current Density Devices Feature Forward Currents to 5 A and VF Down to 0.37 V

MALVERN, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced new 45 V TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers offering high current density with forward currents of 3 A and 5 A in the surface-mount SlimSMA™ DO-221AC package featuring a low 0.95 mm profile.

With extremely low forward voltage drops down to 0.37 V typical at 3 A, the new VSSAF3L45 and VSSAF5L45 reduce power loss and improve efficiency in low-voltage, high-frequency DC/DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection in space-constrained applications such as smartphone chargers.

The new rectifiers feature a maximum operation junction temperature of + 150 °C and an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260 °C. Ideal for automated placement, the devices are compliant to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and halogen-free according to JEDEC JS709A standards.

Samples and production quantities of the new 45 V TMBS rectifiers are available now, with lead times of four weeks for larger orders. Pricing for U.S. delivery begins at $0.15 per piece in quantities below 10,000. Follow TMBS rectifiers at http://twitter.com/vishayindust.
