Schenke Tool Adds New Coordinate Measuring Machine to Verify Precise Machined Parts

Schenke Tool Company, located in Paradise, PA, recently add the Keyence XM model CMM for verification of our precise machining capabilities. A CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is used to provide precise 3D measurements of parts for design, inspection, profiling, and reverse engineering. A probe is used to acquire multiple points on a workpiece surface and map their X, Y, and Z coordinates for measurement. The XM was added to our quality inspections as the probe touches the target while following on-screen augmented reality guidance, providing intuitive 3D measurement while removing operator subjectivity.
