ScheduALL Supplies BBC World Service with Streamlined Management Solution for Diverse Network of Radio and TV Studios

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., May 3 // -- ScheduALL, a leading provider of broadcast production and operations management software, has supplied and implemented with BBC World Service a ScheduALL Enterprise Series system designed specifically for the complex needs of studio scheduling and personnel management at the World Service. The BBC World Service is using the ScheduALL software to manage resources related to global content programming, separated not only by geography but also by time zone and dominant language.

"ScheduALL has been of enormous value in unifying and streamlining our management of personnel, studios, and facilities, extending across multiple time zones and in a variety of different languages," said Peter Almgill, technical development manager for BBC World Service. "ScheduALL's enhanced interfacing capabilities have also improved the way we take advantage of our SAP software."

Installed at the Bush House facilities in London, the ScheduALL software offers intuitive features and real-time data capture that speed decision- making to achieve greater productivity and cost control. It enables real-time scheduling of resources, integrated with complete business management tools, and facilitates tighter collaboration across the enterprise.

Through the close working partnership, the World Service has developed internal Web-based front-end screens which present data held in the ScheduALL database. Recent work has been completed for the creation of bookings using touch-screens outside each of the studios.

The World Service project team also created graphical displays showing live studio bookings, with information coming from ScheduALL. These screens are deployed throughout the World Service, allowing for instant notification of upcoming work in the studios. Other enhancements to the system being used at BBC World Service facilitate interfacing with SAP financial software to extract data for detailed reporting across all of the network's radio studios.
