Scentric Expands Support for Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 with Launch of 2nd Generation Information Classification Product

BARCELONA, Spain, Nov. 14 -- Scentric, provider of the Destiny universal data classification solution, today announced expanded support for Microsoft's Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 as part of its newest release. Windows Storage Server R2 is an optimized file and print server for network attached storage solutions available from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Scentric Destiny is an Information Classification and Management solution for managing data based on its value and/or risk to the organization. The second generation of Destiny, Destiny R2, was announced on November 1, 2006.
Applications for the combination of the two products include file server consolidation; file archiving; migration from direct attached storage (DAS) to network attached storage (NAS); improved data protection and reduced backup windows; and as a foundation for tiered storage and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).
