Scalable Display Technologies Announces Immersive Display Solutions Achieves Gold Partner Status

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. and ACWORTH, Ga. - Scalable Display Technologies, the leading provider of software for multi-megapixel display systems, today announced that Immersive Display Solutions, Inc. (IDSI), a leading provider of immersive visual display systems, has achieved Gold Partner Status. Scalable and IDSI have partnered to deliver a wide range of immersive, multi-megapixel display systems for customers in the simulation and training and visualization markets. IDSI has featured Scalable's EasyBlend FX software as a key component in their integrated visual display solutions and display components. For the calendar year 2010 IDSI sold a record number of channels of EasyBlend FX and is currently on pace to double that channel total through 2011.
Over the past several years Scalable and IDSI have collaborated to develop high-fidelity visual systems with resolutions far exceeding HD by integrating Scalable's camera based EasyBlend FX warp/blend software with COTS hardware. These solutions are currently being delivered for military, government, commercial and university markets where the ability to view data and scenery in an immersive environment increases productivity, saves time and money, and optimizes training. IDSI has also been the first partner to deliver a system with Scalable's recently-released Scalable Display Manager product.

Scalable Display Manager software offers the greatest level of geometric precision in the industry, making it the ideal auto-calibration technology for dome screens used for high precision training applications. Using a patented camera-generated feedback system to calculate pixel-perfect instructions, or Scalable Mesh Files, Scalable automatically calibrates the display and completes the task of aligning multiple projector display systems within seconds to achieve the highest quality multi-projector edge-blended images with rich and precise color.
IDSI will have both a multi-megapixel desktop display, calibrated by Scalable's camera-based solution in the Digital Projection booth, and a 3-meter (diameter) multi-megapixel MiniDome display in the Projection Design booth at InfoComm 2011 in Orlando.
