New Coating Protects Blade From Abrasion and Provides Rust Protection
SUMMARY: Stanley introduces the Stanley® FatMax® Saw with Blade Armor(TM) Coating, a composite coating that provides six times more abrasion protection and results in 50% less friction when compared to Stanley® lacquered saws. The coating also supplies the saw with twice as much rust protection when compared with traditional Stanley® saws. The Stanley® FatMax® saw features the patented SharpTooth(TM) design to cut 50% faster while a thicker blade significantly reduces binding.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, January 19, 2004 - Stanley introduces the FatMax® Saw with Blade Armor(TM) featuring a composite coating that protects the blade from abrasion. The protective coating produces two times more rust protection and six times more abrasion protection, resulting in 50% less friction when compared to Stanley® lacquered saws. The FatMax® Saw is ideal for cutting wet and immature wood, plasterboard, large timbers and other composite materials that can be abrasive.
The saw features a SharpTooth(TM) design capable of cutting 50% faster than traditional saws while a 15% thicker blade reduces binding. The FatMax Saw with Blade Armor(TM) coating features induction hardened teeth that stay sharp three to five times longer in comparison to traditional saws, giving the Stanley® FatMax® Saw with Blade Armor(TM) coating the durability and long life pros demand. The handle is approximately 60% percent thicker than other panel saws and has an ergonomically designed slip-resistant grip, providing ultimate comfort and control.
