Forrest Manufacturing Now Offers Special-Size Blades for Top Brand Trim and Plunge Saws

New Sizes Provide the Same Exceptional Performance as Conventional Forrest Blades

CLIFTON, New Jersey, -Forrest Manufacturing now offers versions of its Woodworker II and Woodworker I blades in special sizes to fit the leading brands of trim and plunge saws. This allows woodworkers to achieve the same quiet, precise, splinter- and scratch-free cuts as with Forrest's conventionally-sized blades.

The 40-tooth, alternate top bevel blades are available in 4 3/8-, 4 ½-, and 5 3/8-inch diameters with respectively 20mm, 3/8-inch, and 10mm bores to fit Makita®, Porter-Cable and DeWalt® skill saws. They have a 20° hook, so each tooth leans forward to help pull wood into the blade, accommodating a higher feed rate.

"They give woodworkers portability and exceptional performance, as well as the
ability to achieve a variety of tasks more quickly," says Anthony Ferrato, technical sales and service representative for Forrest.

Blades for Festool Plunge Saws

Forrest also produces alternate top bevel blades with a 5° hook specifically for
Festool plunge saws. Similar to the Woodworker I blade, they produce superior cross cuts in hard and softwoods, as well as plywood veneer, without top or bottom splintering.

The 160mm and 190mm diameter blades for Festool plunge saws feature 50 teeth and 20mm and 30mm bores respectively. The 8 ¼-inch diameter blade has 60 teeth and a 30mm bore.

Small-Diameter Blades

Forrest's small-diameter blades for skill saws deliver high quality rips, combos, and crosscuts in both hard and softwoods, while achieving a smooth-as-sanded surface.

"We started manufacturing small-diameter blades in response to requests from woodworkers who wanted durable, high-performance blades for their portable trim saws," says Ferrato. "They're essentially the same saw blades as the Woodworker II."
Precision Engineering for Durability and Quality

Like all its blades, Forrest's small-diameter blades and blades for Festool saws are
made in the United States from the highest quality blend of corrosion resistant C-4 micrograin carbide. Proprietary grinding techniques ensure dramatically longer use than conventional carbide tip blades. Additionally, the small blades are hand-straightened for perfect flatness and exceptional perimeter concentricity. They have a side runout of +/- .001, assuring precise cuts.

For continued precision performance, Forrest offers state-of-the-art factory sharpening at reasonable cost. Plus, all blades come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
