Zetec Introduces a Magnetic Saturation System Specifically Designed for Bar and Tube Inspection - The SU-100
ISSAQUAH, WASHINGTON - Zetec, Inc., a leading supplier of nondestructive test (NOT) equipment introduces the SU-100 Magnetic Saturation System for tube and pipe inspection. By magnetically saturating ferrous tubes and pipes, defects can be reliably detected when combined with Zetec's MIZ"-27CT Component Test Instrument and Z100 Probe - to 0.028 inches through-wall defects. The built-in, air-cooled system is extremely compact allowing easy integration into existing manufacturing lines. Easily interchangeable eddy current probes and stainless steel guides make for rapid production changeovers. The robust steel unit measures 15.25 inches high by 16.5 inches high by 11.76 inches deep (390 mm x 420 mm x 300 mm).
Zetec's Magnetic Saturation System and Z100 Dual Differential Encircling Probe can accommodate tubes and pipes from 10 mm up to 100 rnm in OD diameter. Driven by Zetec's multi-frequency, multichannel, MIZ 27CT eddy current tester, the Z100's low-frequency outer coils detect gradual flaws, laminations and wall thinning, while the mid-frequency range inner coils detect pits, seams, cracks and other types of defects. The rack mountable, Magnetic Saturation Control Unit operates from 90-264 VAC (8-13 amp) 50/60 Hz power sources.
