X-Digital Systems Innovates Radio Broadcast Business Models with the Launch of the XDS-PRO4 Satellite Receiver

LAS VEGAS, April 17 /-- NAB 2007 -- X-Digital Systems Inc. (XDS), a leading provider of multimedia transmission systems, today announced the first of its next-generation line of satellite receivers for commercial radio broadcasting, the XDS-PRO4. The XDS-PRO4's patent pending technology provides disruptive innovations in spot distribution, copy splitting and time zone regionalization that will enable radio broadcasters to immediately maximize revenue streams, deepen customer relationships, and create more effective business models at a price point never before seen for commercial- grade systems.

"Our goal with the XDS-PRO4 was to package our technology in a way that creates immediate business value," said X-Digital President and CEO, Ian Lerner. "Our ability to provide highly sophisticated capabilities without a large investment in hardware has enabled us to achieve and industry first -- deliver to market a professional grade receiver at a consumer price."

"The addition of XDS-PRO line satellite receivers is one of the most innovative and diversified receivers on the market today," said Don Harms President of Clear Channel Satellite Services. "It delivers a level of accountability that's sure to increase the quality of broadcast product, its copy-splitting capabilities enables advertisers to specifically target markets and create demographic-specific programming with higher efficiency and economy, and its store-record functionality eliminates the need for costly double or triple satellite transmissions to cover the time."

The XDS-PRO is designed as a professional device enabling networks with up to four audio outputs with 32 relays. Key features include:

Live decoding of broadcast media: Each live stream can be routed to any of the balanced outputs. Additionally, each live stream can be digitally mixed with another live stream or a stored file play-back for maximum flexibility.

Store & forward and file delivery: Media files can be transmitted into local FLASH, a local hard disk or onto a mounted Network File Server (NFS) device. This allows for programming to be broadcast once to all stations for either immediate on air or stored and later on air broadcast.

Copy split-spot insertion: Audio files residing on the mounted device can be inserted into a live or recorded media being output via the MPEG decoder, providing localization into live and stored programming. This provides advertisers with ability to direct specific ads to specific markets.

Live audio record/playback (time shifting): The XDS-PRO is capable of "recording" and playing back any broadcast channel. Content can be recorded into its local or networked storage. This provides stations with the ability to time shift content to the proper air-time.

Automation ready: All XDS-PRO4s are equipped with up to 32 programmable Form-A relays that can be actuated via network control or ancillary data channels, providing a legacy interface for many existing radio station automation systems. This allows stations to locally insert content (spots) into a network program.

Addressability: The XDS-PRO is uniquely addressable via physical ID, Logical ID and Group ID, or each station can also be configured manually providing maximum flexibility in configuring a network.

Accountability: Each XDS-PRO logs its activity. The network can decide what events are logged and how often they are reported to the network. This includes receiver performance, spot play, live play, time zone delays and all other programming controls. This provides the agility needed to adjust advertising campaigns based on effectiveness or shifting business requirements.

Strategic Technology and Distribution Partners Fast Track Adoption These partnerships, announced today in separate releases, demonstrate X-Digital's ability execute to in the market and create strong relationships with partners committed to the adoption of the XDS-PRO4.

Reflecting its commitment to deliver the highest quality, X-Digital has partnered with Analog Devices, Inc., to deliver unmatched sound quality. The XDS-PRO4 satellite receiver uses the Blackfin processor from ADI as a high- density Digital Audio Signal Processor.

Providing a strong, proven channel, Clear Channel Satellite Services Inc., a division of Clear Channel Communications, Inc., will be a premier reseller and distributor of the XDS-PRO line of satellite receivers.

Clear Channel Satellite Services will have a demo of the XDS-PRO4 at their communications trailer at the NAB show April 14-19, 2007 at Booth OE320.
