SANYO is 'In Tune with Networking' at INFOCOMM 2007

Innovative upgrades to SANYO's exclusive PJ-NET system, which facilitates monitoring of projector functions remotely - System allows control and monitoring of 15,000 projection units in a single network - Revolutionary HD-WIRELESS SYSTEM receives uncompressed 720p and 1080i data wirelessly, from distances up to 100 feet away

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 19 - INFOCOMM 2007 - SANYO, one of the world's largest manufacturers of 3LCD projectors is "In Tune with Networking" this week at INFOCOMM 2007 with new projectors that take advantage of the upgraded PJ-NET system that monitors and controls projector functions remotely for up to 15,000 projectors in a single network.

The need for data-compatible projectors has been increasing year after year. Projectors are essential for conventional seminar/business presentation and educational applications, but the industry is witnessing some new and previously unheard of implementations for front projectors. In order to expand into these new market segments, SANYO has employed networking technology into several new models. To further reduce costs, a completely wireless transmission system has been developed, which eliminates the need for networking cables.

Networking capabilities are not new to SANYO projectors, however, here at INFOCOMM SANYO introduces exciting and inventive advancements to their networking system with the PJ-NET ORGANIZER Plus C, the PJ-NET MASTER Version 2.0 and a completely new HD-WIRELESS SYSTEM.

PJ-NET ORGANIZER Plus C

Incorporating the successful features of the existing PJ-NET ORGANIZER and PJ-NET ORGANIZER Plus, SANYO introduces the new PJ-NET ORGANIZER Plus C that now includes a camera function. Camera integration allows the projectionist to confirm whether or not the image is actually being projected, while monitoring the situation from a remote location. Using the Capture/Viewer function still images can be captured.

Warnings can be received from each projector in the network via email for such things as incorrect settings or lamp time. Users can set up automatic email distribution and warning notifications. A timer function sets details for specific days or times.

The unit is compatible with the new PJ-NET Ver. 2.0 software for complete centralized control. It is also PJ-Link and SNMP compatible. A RJ-45 Ethernet port (LAN) is provided for connecting to the network. The PJ-NET ORGANIZER Plus C is available in two models, the POA-PN03C and POA-PN02C.

PJ-NET MASTER Ver. 2.0

At the heart of SANYO's PJ-NET system is the upgraded PJ-NET MASTER Ver. 2.0 software that administers, monitors and controls projector functions such as:

o Internal temperature status
o Notice of Abnormal Temperature/Lamp Lifetime Warning
o Power status
o Lamp failure notice
o Input mode
o Signal conditions
o Lamp-use time
o Facilitates firmware upgrades
o Adjusts network and remote settings
o Remote setting of each server
o Stored record of projected contents (Cinema Advertisement only)

The PJ-NET MASTER Ver. 2.0 fully supports all of SANYO's network compatible projectors, managing and controlling up to 15,000 units on a single network.

HD-WIRELESS SYSTEM

Typically, when installing a large projector for commercial or business use, there are many costs involved with the installation and maintenance of the cable infrastructure. SANYO's newly developed HD-WIRELESS SYSTEM is capable of receiving uncompressed 720p and 1080i data wirelessly, from distances approximately 100 feet away with less than one millisecond of latency. The system is robust enough to provide independent frame-by-frame transmissions.

The system is comprised of two components, a Receiving Board (POA-MD26HDWL) and the Sending Board (POA-HDTM01). It fully supports video data rates of up to 1.5Gbps, including 720p and 1080i, and operates in the 20MHz bandwidth (conforming to worldwide 5GHz regulations). A MIMO wireless modem operates in the 5 GHz unlicensed band.

At INFOCOMM, SANYO introduces the PLC-X47, the brightest LCD projector with 15,000 lumens, which will be the first projector in their extensive line up to utilize the HD WIRELESS System. The PLC-XP100L, the brightest portable projector in SANYO's lineup, in addition to the PLC-XU111 and PDG-DXT10 are the newest models compatible with the PJ-NET system.

All of the new SANYO PJ-NET hardware and software products can be seen with Sanyo's other fine products in booth 7300 at the Anaheim Convention Center during INFOCOMM starting June 19.
