Tip-Up Tail Design Cuts Conveyor Cleaning Time

The ability to have complete access to all areas of a main-line sanitary conveyor system is critical when it comes to cleaning.

Dorner's new 7400 Series sanitary conveyor platform with tip-up tail design allows the customer to tip up the idle end (or with a center drive, both pulley ends) without the use of any tools to create slack on the belt. This added belt slack provides easy access to the conveyor for cleaning, including underneath the belt and conveyor frame. For longer 7400 Series conveyors, cleaning is still easy with belt lifters positioned in the center of the conveyor's frame. Belt lifters hold the belt off the frame, allowing for hands-free cleaning, which significantly cuts cleaning time.

The 7400 Series conveyors are designed and engineered to be a main-line production conveying system. The 7400 Series comes in widths from six to 60 inches, and any length up to 99 feet, and includes curves to fit any production environment. These 7400 Series sanitary conveyors with tip-up tail design offer all the features and benefits customers have been asking for in a sanitary conveyor line such as:
o Engineered specifically for wash-down and sanitary environments
o Cleans up twice as fast as competing conveyors
o Continuous TIG welded stainless steel frame
o No fasteners in the food zone
o Solid UHMW wear strips easily lift out of the frame without tools
o No horizontal surfaces or lap joints
o Bearings are 400 series stainless steel, filled with H1 FDA lubricant and mounted in cast stainless steel housings
o Belt widths between six inches and six feet
o Belt lengths between three and 99 feet
o Belt speeds up to 200 feet per minute
