GemcoValve Introduces New Low-Profile Sanitary Butterfly Valve
Gemco a leading manufacturer of equipment for solids processing industries has manufactured its line of Spherical Disc Valves since the 1930's. While this valve has built a reputation for its full port opening, self-cleaning seat and long life it does require a high profile related to its diameter. For space restricted applications Gemco Valve now offers a low-profile Butterfly Valve. Measuring only 1-1/2 inches in thickness the SB valve can fit in the tightest spaces.
The SB Valve is compliant with the USDA 3A requirements for manual cleaned butterfly valves in dry powder applications. The SB valve dismantles by hand in minutes for quick inspection and cleaning. Available in sized from 4" through 16" the valve is offered in #4 satin or #7 mirror polish with manual or air operators. It is manufactured in the United States from 316L Stainless Steel and FDA compliant Silicone seals. Standard and engineered options such as weld necks and Tri-clamps are also available.
Three models of the Butterfly Valve are available:
SB-1 Welded in position. (One-clamp) The SB-1 valve is designed so the top half can be welded in position. The body clamp secures the bottom half. It can be removed in seconds for inspection and cleaning.
SB-2 Clamped in position. (Two-clamp) The SB-2 design allows the top half to be clamped in position. Similar to SB-1, the body clamps allows the valve to be dismantled by hand in seconds.
SB-3 Clamped in position with accessory clamp. (Three-clamp) The SB-3 is clamped in position and comes with a third clamp on the outlet for the attachment of accessories such as sleeves.
