Sandvik Coromant's CoroTurn TR Offers Improved Small Part Profiling

Fair Lawn, New Jersey, September 8, 2008 - Sandvik Coromant has expanded its CoroTurn TR series to include tool holders with zero-offset, allowing the system to be used in sliding head machines. The system's high stability and high tolerances make it an ideal solution for demanding turning operations in small part machining.

The CoroTurn TR makes use of Sandvik Coromant's iLock interface to provide precise, repeatable profiles and continuous operation with sliding head tools. The T-rail design also allows repeatable and reliable cutting edge indexing, ensuring the correct insert seat location at all times. The tool's stability increases security and allows more components to be produced per insert.

CoroTurn TR tool holders for sliding head machines are available in 5/8" and 16 mm shank size.
