Process Glass Fiber Laminates With A Weber Sanding System

WEBER designs sanding systems that can process the glass fiber laminates which are widely used today. This material is manufactured as individual panels up to 3200mm (126") wide or long webs rolled in coil form up to 60m (196') long. Since it is frequently necessary to bond several webs together, a specific surface roughness must be maintained. In addition material thickness must be held within a precise tolerance.

A WEBER sanding system can achieve the surface quality required with an accuracy of +/-0.1mm (.004"). The transport system can feed either individual panels or coil materials. An assist device is provided to simplify handling the 3250mm (128") wide sanding belts.

With over 70 machines installed in the United States, WEBER grinding and finishing machines are rapidly being recognized for their quality, reliability, and durability.
