Samsung Selects High-Performing ANADIGICS Power Amplifier for Use in Intensity II(TM) and Gusto(TM) Mobile Phones

ANADIGICS' AWC6323 Device Meets Demand for Increased Integration in Dual-Band Handsets

WARREN, NJ - September 22, 2010 - Continuing to demonstrate industry leadership in designing power amplifiers (PAs) for the world's most popular mobile devices, ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANAD) today announced that its HELP3E(TM) Dual Band AWC6323 PA is being implemented in Samsung's Intensity II(TM) and Gusto(TM) mobile phones.

The AWC6323 is the first product in ANADIGICS' portfolio of High-Efficiency-at-Low-Power (HELP(TM)) dual-band CDMA PAs in a 3 x 5 x 1 (mm) footprint. Featuring the industry's lowest quiescent current for a CDMA power amplifier, the AWC6323 plays an integral role in extending battery life and improving the overall performance of today's leading handsets.

Samsung's Intensity II(TM) and Gusto(TM) handsets, offered by Verizon, the largest wireless network in North America, are among the company's most popular mobile phones in terms of value and reliability. The slim Intensity II(TM) phone is ideal for high-speed social networking with a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard that enables users to quickly connect with others via text or picture message. The Gusto(TM) flip phone features crisp display and noise suppression technology along with robust text, picture and instant messaging capabilities.

"Over our 25 year history, ANADIGICS has established a strong track record of delivering the highest quality technology solutions to the wireless industry-leading customers like Samsung," said Michael Canonico, Vice President, Worldwide Sales for ANADIGICS. "Providing our highly integrated AWC6323 power amplifier for Samsung's Intensity II and Gusto phones is the latest example of our ongoing successful collaboration to provide end users with the best performing and most effective products in the market."

Today's announcement follows the news release of September 8th that ANADIGICS' AWT6264 power amplifier is driving the WiMAX connectivity of Samsung's new Epic(TM) 4G smartphone. Both the AWC6323 and the AWT6264 deliver extremely high performance, linearity and efficiency.

Additional facts and highlights about the AWC6323:

o The AWC6323 is a dual band CDMA PA supporting the Cell (824MHz-849MHz) and PCS (1850MHz-1910MHz) bands.
o The AWC6323 offers three mode states to achieve high-power added efficiencies at several power levels during the phone operation.
o The AWC6323 has the industry's best quiescent current of 3.5mA for a CDMA power amplifier; this directly helps in increasing the talk-time performance of the handset without the need for a DC-DC converter.
o The AWC6323 features built-in directional couplers for each band with a common coupler port; this helps eliminate the surface mount couplers placed on the phone board.
o The device also meets the stringent linearity requirements of CDMA EV-DO Revisions A and B modulations to offer very high data rates for smart phones and data cards.
o The AWC6323 is manufactured on advanced indium gallium phosphide (InGaP) BiFET(TM) technology, offering the highest levels of reliability, temperature stability and ruggedness.
