Multi-Oven Calibration System for VOC Analysis

KIN-TEK Laboratories, Inc. introduces the Span Lab TO-14 Calibration Bench designed for laboratories doing VOC analysis. The TO-14 Cal Bench generates a flowing stream of calibration mixture which can be fed directly to an analysis system, or captured in SUMMA canisters.

The TO-14 Cal Bench is a group of up to 30 individually controlled permeation tube ovens, with up to 8 permeation tubes in each oven. Permeation tubes in these ovens emit a small, precisely known flow of each component compound into a small carrier gas flow through each oven. Mixtures containing up to 200 compounds can be prepared.

The output from each oven is selectively added to a controlled flow of dilution gas. Output from any combination of permeation ovens can be added. Composition of the calibration mixture can be changed to meet varying demands. The concentration of each compound is traceable to NIST through physical standards. Mixtures can be dry or humidified, and can be delivered at up to 40 psig pressure.

The dilution flow is measured by an electronic mass flowmeter and digitally displayed. The indicated total dilution flow includes flow from the selected ovens. Standard total dilution flow is (1.25 to 5 L/min., with optional ranges to 50 L/min.
