High Throughput LC Injection System
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has introduced the SIL-5000 High Throughput LC Injection System as part of an expanded OEM agreement with CTC Analytics AG, Zwingen, Switzerland. The SIL-5000 uses a syringe-only concept, combining manual and robotic handling systems for high-precision, high-throughput sample injection operation. It is ideally suited for a wide range of applications including pre-clinical research, combinatorial chemistry, flow injection analysis, and pharmacokinetic studies. The high throughput sampling system can accommodate 600 2mL vials, up to 24 standard microplates (96/384 wells), or 6 deepwell plates, and is equipped with a dedicated fast wash station for rapid syringe and valve cleaning.
Shimadzu's SIL-5000 offers temperature-controlled sample storage from 4°C to 40°C for fast and easy cooling and heating operations. Graphical LCD display and a unique user-based teaching scroll simplify operation. Remote Windows®-based software enables customized prep and load cycles, while an optional 4 or 10-port injection valve enables complex column switching procedures or internal loop configurations.
