RapidVap® Vertex Evaporator Speeds Sample Prep Using Dry Block Heat and Nitrogen Blow-Down



Using dry heat and nitrogen blow down, the new RapidVap Vertex Evaporator speeds evaporation of up to 50 samples at the same time. A convenient touchpad allows easy programming of both time and temperature. For protocol consistency, up to ten different programs may be stored in the microprocessor. Unlike water baths, a 900-watt dry block heater requires less maintenance, no distilled water or additives, and adds no potential source of contamination. There are five nitrogen control valves with on/off switches and fifty nitrogen-dispensing nozzles in five horizontal rows to introduce nitrogen to the samples. A front-mounted pressure regulator with an analog display shows pressure from 0 to 45 psi in 2 psi increments. The temperature sensor probe may be used in the sample or the block for easy monitoring the sample temperature. The Vertex is ideal for preparation of samples in a variety of applications including drug discovery, clinical analysis, environmental testing, agrochemistry, and forensic evidence processing.
