Sample Conditioning Modules provide single-point sampling.

Press Release Summary:

Series 3100 provides tool for lowering temperature and pressure of single samples in power plants and boiler rooms. Units handle sample conditions up to 5,000 psig at 1,000°F. Sample flows up to 1,500 cc/min and beyond are capable of being cooled to within degrees of cooling water temperature due to high-efficiency coolers. Carbon-steel or optional stainless-steel backplate allows for mounting to plant's control panel or suitable structure.

Original Press Release:

Sample Conditioning Modules from Waters Equipment Co. are Ideal for Single-Point Sampling in Power Plant, Boiler Room Applications

Lansdale, PA, June 2003- Waters Equipment Company's Series 3100 Single Point Sample Conditioning Modules (SCM) provide a versatile tool for lowering the temperature and pressure of single samples in power plants and boiler rooms. They may be used to obtain grab samples of boiler water or steam and can include a wide range of instruments for on-line analysis.

Series 3100 Sample Conditioning Modules are pre-engineered and customized to the user's requirements from a large menu of selectable features. They arrive completely assembled, and only cooling water, sample and drain field connections are required prior to start-up.

The Series 3100 is rated for high performance sampling and can handle sample conditions of up to 5000 psig at 1000°F. Sample flows of up to 1500 cc/min and beyond are capable of being cooled to within degrees of the cooling water temperature due to the use of Waters Equipment Co.'s high efficiency coolers. High temperature shut-off valves and ion exchange resin columns with auto shut-off valves are only a couple of the options available.

Waters Single Point Sample Conditioning Modules are compact (17-in. wide x 27-in. high) and lightweight (25 to 65 lbs., depending on options). A standard carbon-steel or optional stainless-steel backplate allows for easy mounting to a plant's existing control panel or suitable structure.

The versatile Series 3100 systems can be customized to include a wide variety of features, such as: pressure reducer, sample cooler, sample shut-off valve, sample blowdown valve, total sample flow indicator, pressure and temperature gauges, sample to analyzer control components, and cooling water control components.

A standard stainless steel sink serves as grab sample bottle holder and drain. Additionally, continuous, on-line conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, or similar analyzers can be mounted on a slightly larger back plate (27-in. x 27-in., as shown in photo) to complete the installalion.
