Sage Software Announces Agreement with Avalara to Provide Sage Sales Tax Solutions for the Sage MAS Product Lines
Automated Sales Tax Compliance and Calculation Services now to be offered as private-label solutions directly through Sage Software business partners
Irvine, Calif. - May 11, 2007 - Sage Software announced today an agreement with Avalara, a provider of on-demand, web-based sales tax compliance services, to private-label versions of its AvaTax sales tax compliance solution for the Sage MAS ERP (enterprise resource planning) product lines. Branded as "Sage MAS 90 and 200 Sales Tax. Powered by AvaTax." and "Sage MAS 500 Sales Tax. Powered by AvaTax." these new products provide small to mid-sized businesses fully automated sales tax management solutions that meet the sales tax requirements for over 12,500 tax jurisdictions in the United States. Sage MAS Sales Tax solutions are available through Sage Software's network of more than 4,800 North American business partners and will enable clients to reap the benefits of simplified and streamlined sales tax processing.

Sage MAS Sales Tax is available through Sage MAS business partners and the Sage Software Accountants Network. Two types of subscriptions are available to Sage MAS users: Standard and Professional. The Standard subscription offers single or multi-state options for Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 users only. Standard subscribers receive the latest and most up-to-date tax rate calculation and address verification. The Professional subscription offers multi-state jurisdiction rate calculations, tax rule application, address verification, sales tax form generation and remittance. The Professional subscription is available to Sage MAS 90, Sage MAS 200 and Sage MAS 500 users. Sage MAS Sales Tax subscription pricing begins as low as $675 annually for a single state subscription and $1,149 for a multi-state subscription. Subscription pricing is based on transaction tiers representing the number of annual invoices and sales shipment. Each transaction tier has an activation fee and an annual service fee.
