Norstat Inc, now offers a versatile, stand alone, non-contact safety switch suitable for use on it's own, for lower category safety applications or with a safety relay when a higher category of safety performance is required. The SSS-Series is a non-contact safety switch system that offers reliable electronic switching, simple installation and can only be operated with it's corresponding actuator, thereby preventing any type of switch tampering. With an 8-10mm switching distance the SSS-Series is extremely tolerant to vibration and misalignment problems. Contact status is indicated via LED's and a protection rating of IP 67 makes the SSS-Series the perfect choice for applications ranging from basic wash-down to high-pressure hose-down. A version featuring a quick disconnect cable is also available.
