Spence Announces New Figure 860 Safety Relief Valve


Spence Engineering Company, Inc., Walden, New York announces a new refined investment casting bonnet on the Figure 860 Safety Relief Valve. The Figure 860 meets ASME Section VIII for liquid, steam, air & gas services and is now PED compliant. The Figure 860 features quick opening and short closing pressures while incorporating a fixed ring design that reduces maintenance costs and provides longer life.

The Figure 860 is constructed of 316 stainless steel (including internals) for improved corrosion resistance. A soft seat option provides tighter shutoff for those applications when the operating pressure is close to the set pressure of the valve. The Figure 860 is available in pressures to 900 PSIG and temperatures to 422°F and, in addition, is suitable for cryogenic applications down to -400°F.
