(February 2002) - Kee Industrial Products, Buffalo, New York introduces its new Kwik Kit(TM) safety railing kit to provide safety barriers around machinery and equipment or in other areas where personnel access should be restricted because of safety concerns. The new Kwik Kit is strong and safe, according to Kee Industrial, as it exceeds OSHA and BOCA standards, and features 1.9-inch O.D. pipe that is powder-coated in an attractive, safety yellow.
The company states that Kwik Kit can be assembled quickly, requiring only a hex key to tighten the large, easy-to-use set screws on the aluminum or galvanized cast-iron/steel pipe fittings supplied. No welding, drilling or threading is required, and the kits may be secured using bolts or chemical anchors attached to the base fittings. The rails included may be cut-to-size where shorter sections are desired. Kwik Kit is pre-packaged with six-foot post spacing and available in a straight section kit, corner section kit, and an extension kit. The company says that the six-foot post spacing results in a lower system cost per foot for safety railing.
