SICK Announces New C 4000 Palletizer Safety Light Curtain

The SICK C 4000 Palletizer is an extension of the industry-proven C 4000 family of Safety Light Curtains. The new C 4000 Palletizer combines the benefits of not having to use muting sensors, switches and lamps with the ability to safely transport pallets or palletized goods into a hazardous area.
The C 4000 Palletizer from SICK is a new solution for access-safe-guarding due to the product's blanking functionality. The safety light curtain can be placed where material needs to enter the machine and a person needs to be detected. Personnel access is prohibited due to the product's self-learning technology or manually defined object size and tolerance. The light curtain can detect up to five smaller objects or one large object and can be positioned horizontally or at an angle, depending on the application needs. The C 4000 Palletizer can be configured for single or dual direction operation.
This product is well-suited for infeed and outfeed zones for palletizers, de-palletizers, stretch wrap systems, conveyors, packaging machines, robotic and non-robotic palletizers or de-palletizers, pallet shrink-wrapping machines and automated assembly lines.
