New Locking Safety Interlock Switch Features Narrow Metal Housing

FREMONT, CA - Scientific Technologies, Inc. (STI) introduces the TL4024 series safety interlock switch with guard door locking. The TL4024 features a high locking force of 1500 N (337 lb.) for maximum protection, and uses a total of four contacts to monitor safety, door position, and lock status. This switch features LED indicators for easy recognition of the door's safety status. When used with a stainless steel actuator, the TL4024 provides a minimum of one million actuations.

The narrow profile facilitates mounting on 2-inch square tubing or in space-restricted applications, while a NEMA 6 anodized die-cast metal housing allows the switch to withstand water washdown environments. A rotatable head provides eight possible actuator entry points for versatile installation. An optional heavy-duty yellow slide bolt with integral door handle facilitates easy integration on machine guards, and permits the attachment of multiple padlocks. A key release is available that allows manual unlocking of the switch. The TL4024 conforms to all European safety standards and is UL, c-UL and CE listed.
