Safetran's ATC2070E makes Caltrans Qualified Products List (QPL)

Anaheim, Calif., October 6, 2011-Safetran, an Econolite Group, Inc. company, today announced its ATC2070E has been approved on the new Caltrans Qualified Products List (QPL) released September 19, 2011. The Safetran ATC2070E was tested by the Caltrans Laboratory and found to be compliant with the Transportation Electrical Equipment Specifications (TEES) 2009 and TEES 2009 Errata1.

According to Safetran, approval to the Caltrans specifications standard is highly sought after in the industry. "Caltrans is well-known for its specification-based approach to setting industry standards," said Jeff Spinazze, Econolite Senior Vice President of Sales and Product Management. "We are pleased that the Econolite Group's Safetran brand ATC2070E controller is approved by Caltrans and is on its QPL."
The new Safetran model ATC2070E Controller has been completely redesigned to meet the specification and to allow it to be easily configured for all 300 series and NEMA TS1/TS2 cabinet applications. The controller meets or exceeds all TEES and NEMA functional and environmental requirements for traffic signal hardware. Utilizing the OS-9 multi-tasking operating system, the ATC2070E controller provides a true, industry standard, open architecture platform.

The ATC2070E may be configured with Econolite's highly capable ASC/3-2070 or OASIS software that operates within the Centracs® advanced transportation management system (ATMS), or with any industry-available 2070 software.
