Saelig Introduces Berkeley Nucleonics 765 Ultra-Fast Rise Time Pulse Generator

Model 765 is an advanced, modern solution for ultra-fast rise time complex pulse generation and synchronization with simple touchscreen control

Fairport, NY: Saelig Company, Inc. announces the availability of the Berkeley Nucleonics 765 Fast Rise Time Pulse Generator - the first analog edge converter with the ability to provide 5V pulses with less than 70ps rising and falling edges. Available in 2 or 4 channel versions, the Model 765 offers a repetition rate of up to 240MHz with a period jitter specification of under 25ps. The unit is conveniently and easily controlled via a 7” 1024x600 capacitive touch LCD that runs Windows 10 OS.

The Model 765's innovative hardware architecture can generate advanced pulse sequences such as double pulse or quad pulse with fully independent timing parameters. The touchscreen display and intuitive UI have been designed to simplify powerful pulse generation programming. Signals can be generated quickly and adjustments can be made in real-time. Set-up is completed with just a touch, via HDMI or USB interfaces, or from an added keyboard or mouse. Simple built-in instrument controls and parameters allow engineers and scientists to create single or multiple pulses (dual, triple and quadruple pulse mode) in moments, with continuous, single, burst, gated, external trigger modes available.

Features

  • Up to 4 channels
  • < 70ps rise/fall time (20%-80%)
  • Adjustable output level from 10mVpp to 5Vpp
  • Adjustable baseline offset ± 2.5V
  • Maximum repetition rate 500 MHz per channel
  • Pulse width from 300ps to > 1s
  • 10ps Width resolution
  • Continuous, single, burst, gated, external trigger modes
  • Trigger in to output jitter < 35ps RMS
  • 19″ rack-mount kit available (3U space required)

The Model 765 is the ideal solution for a wide range of applications requiring fast, accurate pulse edges, such as experimental physics applications, experimental colliders, laser modulation, mass spectroscopy, TDT and TDR applications, radar and sonar systems, semiconductors tests, etc.
