Targeted at designs for network-enabled instruments and dataloggers, the W7100 provides 32 Kbytes of internal buffer for data transmission/receiving, and supports half-duplex/full duplex, auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX. W7100 is an all-in-one embedded network solution featuring an industry-standard 8051 Processor, hardwired TCP/IP stack, 10/100 Ethernet PHY, 64K Bytes e-Flash memory, and 64K Bytes SRAM memory. WIZnet's hardwired TCP/IP stack supports TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP and PPPoE protocols, and has been used in many embedded products by manufacturers worldwide. W7100's 8051 core is fully software-compatible with the familiar industry-standard 8051, but uses a pipelined architecture to speed up instruction execution by 4-5 times over standard 8051s.
