Rupture Disks feature vacuum support design.

Press Release Summary:

For processes that operate under vacuum conditions, rupture disks with vacuum support ensure that disk does not collapse under differential back-pressure and operates correctly. One-piece vacuum support eliminates potential failure sites and has smooth design that reduces accumulation. Rupture disks are suited for agricultural/bulk powder, aerospace, chemical, gas, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and power applications.

New Vacuum Support Design for Oseco Rupture Disks

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (December 23, 2003) - Oklahoma Safety Equipment Co., Inc. (Oseco), a leader in pressure relief product design and manufacture, has re-engineered its vacuum support for rupture disks, resulting in greater reliability and more sanitary operation. These disks are suited to a variety of applications in the agricultural/bulk powder, aerospace, chemical, gas, petroleum, pharmaceutical and power industries. For processes that operate under vacuum conditions, a rupture disk with vacuum support ensures that the disk doesn't collapse under differential back-pressure and operates correctly. Previous vacuum support designs required the welding of multiple metal buttons over the disk's score lines. These buttons produce multiple sites for potential failure. Oseco's new one piece vacuum support eliminates these potential failure sites, resulting in a more reliable disk. Additionally, the buttons of the old style supports create crevices where process product can build up. The new smooth design reduces this accumulation for cleaner operation. Oseco precision manufactures rupture disks and panels in a variety of sizes, pressure ratings and materials to meet customer specifications. Vacuum support style disks are available for many of Oseco's disk styles, including the standard (STD) and composite (CO) lines. Oseco, a Halma Group company, manufactures custom engineered rupture disks, rupture panels, and other pressure relief products at its state-of-the-art, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
