Core Systems Introduces the RCAT - 4948E Ruggedized Cisco Ethernet Switch



POWAY, Calif. -- Core Systems Incorporated, a leading global provider of rugged computer solutions, announced a "ruggedized" version of Cisco switches and routers. The RCAT-4948E is a hardened 2U 4948E Ethernet Switch qualified to meet MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-910D, MIL-STD-167, and MIL-STD-461. This rugged COTS RCAT-4948E switch extends to military applications with enhancements that support deployment of data and multimedia services that require thermal, shock, vibration, altitude, and humidity conditions not offered by the standard commercial Cisco version.
