New: Rugged & Precise Digital Indicator

LMI CORPORATION introduces the DIAMONDBACK Digital Indicator

Fenton, Michigan, USA - Linear Measurement Instruments Corporation (LMI), a manufacturer of precision measuring systems announces the introduction of the NEW LMI Diamondback Digital Indicator. "We are very pleased with the release of our new shop hardened digital indicator, the Diamondback. Industry needs measurement tools that can withstand the rigors of the manufacturing environment. As we know it, this is the only indicator like this on the market today" said Ernest Booker, LMI President.

The LMI Diamondback Digital Indicator is manufactured with an aluminum housing combined with a hardened stainless steel stem and spindle. The Diamondback is available with ½" or 1" travel and with either 3/8" or 8.0mm diameter stems. Standard features on all models include .0005"/.01mm resolution, Absolute Mode, Tolerance Judgment, and Button Lock to secure your settings. Collecting data with the Diamondback is also made easy because each model supports USB, Digimatic and Serial communication. Besides its durability the Diamondback has many unique features that distinguish it from others such as a rubber protective boot, a reference shoulder built into the stem for 31.0mm & 50.0mm nominal positions, and a 2-piece tip that virtually eliminates tips breaking off in the spindle.

Machine Tool & Gear of Michigan is an early adopter of the Diamondback Digital Indicator and Quality Engineer Ben Duffield states "we have had great success with it. We have found that it holds up to the production environment very well. We have used various digital indicators in our plant and have found they are not robust, once they find the floor or a part lands on it they do not survive. The LMI digital indicator has held up very well in our plant. The LMI digital indicator has showed great strength and repeatability even after hitting the floor."
